Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actress and singer. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is Nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. The mother of Kristen is Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment as a young stage of her life. She went to her audition in 1992 and got the role of Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell, who was 13 at the time her mother enrolled to become an agent was cast on TV and newspaper advertisements. Then, she also began training in private acting. Bell was as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band as well as the drama club. She won the starring role as Dorothy in her high school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell later moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell was a graduate in 2001, resigned her university studies to perform her role as Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 that Bell's first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene has been cut out and the credits are all that display her. Bell appeared part of the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
