Carey, who stands nearly 5'10 and was once an iconic American modeling model. Top designers including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren liked her. Her father, who was a renowned scientist who received the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists 1979 Scientist of the Year award is an accomplished geoscientist. As a result of his career Carey grew up all around the world. In the years of her college when she was modeling for a small amount of time and was able to attract the attention from Ford model Agency representatives in New York. She briefly lived and studied in Paris prior to returning in New York. Her modeling and academic career rocketed and she appeared on the covers of Glamour's and Vogue's and many other magazine covers. While modeling, she also studied at New York University full-time to obtain a degree in literature. After graduation, in New York she began to pursue acting. In 1986 she began her career on stage with a small role as a minor character in "Club Paradise" in the film "Club Paradise" with Robin Williams. She loves rock climbing, skiing, and windsurfing.
