Shailene Woodley is an American actor and activist. As a character in The Descendants, she played Alexandra King who is an addiction-prone teenager. Her acclaimed performance as Alexa "Alex" King from The Descendants led to her taking on other characters effortlessly. Shailene managed to get an important position within the film industry at a young age in her career which is an achievement in itself. She began her career by appearing in TV commercials and shows, but she soon moved into Hollywood films.
