Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with a series of rap songs which dealt with the subject of race and sexuality. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood when she dropped a series of raps. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came through the instrument of trumpet. In addition to classical and jazz, the young Nora started to study hip-hop during her teens. After concentrating on education, she graduated with an education in journalism at the college as well as a women's studies degree. Not until after graduation did she start focusing on music. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet eventually landing on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also contained songs that were viral such as body positive Queef or the winking city tour NYC Bitche$. The track that was published is directly linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her 2015 travel guide. Her resume included both musicians and an author. The singer was seeking to further her career in acting. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018, her breakout performances included Dude Ocean's 8, along with Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out, In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
